¿Sabes cómo usar ‘less’ y ‘fewer’ en inglés?
¿Lo puedes contar? 👉 usa fewer. ‘I drink fewer cups of tea than you’.
¿No lo puedes contar? 👉 usa less. ‘I drink less tea than you’.
👉 ‘I work 2 hours less a day in the summer.’
👉 ‘I work 2 hours fewer a day in the summer.’
And the winner is … ‘I work 2 hours less a day in the summer.’
🙄 No entiendo nada …
Dirías: ‘2 hours is a long time’ y no ‘2 hours are a long time’, por tanto debemos usar ‘less’.
👉 ‘It takes fewer hours to drive to London than to Bristol’.
👉 ‘It takes 3 hours less to drive to London than to Bristol’.
Te pasamos una chuleta:
- My teacher has given me ____ homework this year.
- I have ____ friends than my brother.
- I have ____ money in my wallet than you.
- I have ____ euros in my wallet than you.
- I have ____ furniture at home than my neighbour.
- I have ____ food in my fridge than yesterday.
- I have ____ tomatoes in my fridge than yesterday.
- I make ____ mistakes than before.
- He has ____ free time than me.
- ____ people go to the gym in February.
- You should eat ____ salt and ____ biscuits.
- She’s worked there for ____ than three years.
Nos vemos pronto por aquí, ¿no?
Until then, please keep calm & learn English! 🇬🇧💂
Nunca he escrito nada pero hoy no me puedo aguantar
