El centrocampista del Real Madrid, Xabi Alonso, está ahora concentrado con la selección española para preparar los dos próximos partidos ante la República Checa y Lituania. Allí se ha aislado un poco del día a día de la competición, pero ha repasado la actualidad y no ha eludido hablar, en una entrevista en el periódico Mundo Deportivo, de la importancia que tendrán esta temporada los duelos directos entre Real Madrid y Barcelona, que decidirán la Copa, la Liga y, probablemente, la Champions. Aquí os dejo un extracto de esa parte de la conversación:
De lo que sí se está hablando y mucho es de la cantidad de duelos entre Barça y Real Madrid que se pueden dar esta temporada. ¿Han hablado de eso los internacionales de los dos equipos en Las Rozas?
No, no hemos hablado mucho porque ya está tan hablado que al final desconectas un poco de eso.
O sea, que están un poco cansados que siempre les preguntemos de los mismo.
No, bueno, al final sabes que es esto, sabes dónde estás y la actualidad es la que manda. El último resultado manda y esto es lo que toca, así que no me pilla por sorpresa que me pregunten de los Madrid-Barça.Unos clásicos que siempre dicen que son decisivos, pero este año, sin duda lo van a ser de verdad, ¿está usted de acuerdo?
Sí, todos van a ser decisivos. Porque si pasas en Champions League, juegas la final, porque la final de Copa del Rey es ganar un título y en Liga, por la clasificación. Todos van a ser muy decisivos, se van a escribir ríos de tinta sobre estos partidos y va a ser algo monotemático.
