Se trata de un bulldog francés blanco llamado Bell, que se pasea desde el día de Reyes a sus anchas por el Palacio de Dueñas. Flashito, su antecesor, acompañó a la Duquesa durante los últimos quince años hasta que falleció, el pasado 30 de diciembre. Todos sabéis el cariño que Cayetana le tenía, por eso dice haber pasado las peores Navidades de su vida. Su hija Cayetana, harta de verla llorar, se atrevió a comprar un perrito nuevo para su madre, a pesar de que había dicho varias veces que no quería sustitutos. El día de Reyes le llevaron la nueva mascota, y Cayetana ha vuelto a enamorarse y sonreír. Yo he podido ver con mis propios ojos al perrito paseando por Dueñas bajo la atenta mirada del personal de la Casa de Alba. Lo vi ayer, que estuve en Sevilla en casa de una amiga que vive justo en la calle Feria, frente al Palacio. Nos asomamos a la puerta y lo vimos haciendo pis en el caminito de arena de la entrada. Y, digo yo, ¡quién fuera perro! Tienen dieta, veterinario, un trato casi de Alteza Real y, lo mejor de todo, conversaciones de alto copete con la Duquesa. Seguro que le confiesa sus deseos más íntimos.
A pesar de esta anécdota que nos ha alegrado la mañana, hemos amanecido con la triste noticia de la muerte de Juanito Navarro. El cómico ha fallecido a los 86 años en su casa de Madrid. Será enterrado mañana en el cementerio de La Almudena, según han confirmado su mujer y sus dos hijas. Personajes de la cultura como su compañera Lina Morgan o Bibi Andersen, con quienes trabajó en numerosas ocasiones, han dado ya el pésame a la familia. Desde aquí les mandamos un beso enorme.
