Hoy quiero hablaros de una iniciativa solidaria que me ha parecido maravillosa. Y sí, está formada en su mayoría por actores y cantantes conocidos. ¿Por qué es especial la labor que desempeña la Fundación VOCES? Porque no es una ONG que se lleva a los actores a los países desfavorecidos para hacerles fotos y a cumplir. Que también me parece perfecto ya que de esa manera hay mucha gente, como mi señora madre, que se enteran de lo que pasa en el mundo.
VOCES es una ONG fundada hace unos años por la Mari de Chambao, Silvia Abascal, Antonio Orozco y otros muchos artistas del mundo de la música, el cine y la televisión. Ellos son los que piden la subvenciones, se inventan iniciativas para recaudar fondos y se van al sitio en cuestión para desarrollar el proyecto a pie de campo.
En estos momentos se encuentran Alejo Sauras y Raúl Peña (La República) en Mali. Allí están impartiendo un curso sobre cómo actuar ante las cámaras a los alumnos del conservatorio que regenta la organización. Además, van a grabar un documental que nos enseñarán cuando regresen a España.
Ya han pasado por Bamako actores como Ana de Armas, que les enseñó a improvisar; Amaia Salamanca que les dio un taller de interpretación para principiantes; o Ana Torroja que grabó un par de canciones de su último disco con los alumnos de la escuela. Es cooperación cultural por el desarrollo.
Me gusta la iniciativa porque se mojan, se mojan de verdad. VOCES también desarrolla su trabajo en Colombia. Allí llevan a cabo un proyecto para la escolarización de los niños de la calle.
¿Saben quién se ha ido allí varias veces para ponerlo todo en orden y que el dinero llegue correctamente y que se saque el mayor fruto a estas ayudas? Carmen Morales. A mí personalmente me ha sorprendido porque no tenía ni idea y, como ya os he dicho, lo que más me pone de esta iniciativa es que son nuestros famosillos los que curran.
En Paraguay, dónde también tienen un proyecto de escolarización con niños afrodescendientes está a la cabeza la actriz Cuca Escribano. La madre de Cata en Sin tetas no hay paraíso dicen que es una de las cooperantas estrella de la organización. Pone firme a todo Cristo y sabe rentabilizar los pocos recursos de los que disponen.
