No queda ya nada demasiado original que decir sobre Heinrich Karl Bukowski (1920 y 1994), cuya obra y vida han tenido una vasta difusión. Quizás lamentar que la fascinación que despiertan sus libros de relatos y novelas, opacara en cierta medida a su magnífica obra poética.
Preferiría la dureza de “Las almas de animales muertos” o la hondura de “Nirvana”, pero “El corazón que ríe” viene con un añadido irresistible: la lectura de Tom Waits, personaje que parece haber sido hecho para recitar a Bukowski.
