Es una frase muy útil cuándo hablas de algo o alguien que está progresando.
«How is your dissertation going?»
«Well, I’m getting there.»
«Learning English is not easy, but you’re getting there.»
3. No worries
Significado: no te preocupes, ningún problema.
«I’m afraid I won’t be able to attend class tomorrow.»
«No worries, I’ll send you the materials by email.»
4. Sorry about that
Se usa para disculparse por un pequeño inconveniente causado.
«I’ve been trying to contact you since yesterday afternoon, where on earth have you been?»
«Sorry about that, I left my phone at the office.»
5. To be honest …
Significado: para serte sincero …
«So, any thoughts on my new book?»
«To be honest, I haven’t read it yet.»
6. By the way
Significado: por cierto, a propósito.

7. Just kidding / I’m just kidding
Significado: estoy bromeando, estoy de coña.
También es muy común decir: ‘Only joking’.

8. As far as I know
Significado: por lo que yo sé, hasta dónde yo sé.
«Will the company be hiring next year?»
«As far as I know, the budget has been approved.»

Buah, sí, esas frases te hacen sonar muy muy muy British. La que a mí menos me gusta de esas (y la usan un montón) es el «To be honest».
Mayormente, porque si alguien me dice el TBH después de 15 minutos hablando (y me ha pasado mucho) me suena a que los 14 minutos de antes ha estado diciendo un montón de bull-dung que dirían en US of A.
