Hello there!
Are you ready? Let’s begin! 💛
To be head over heels in love with someone
«I’m totally head over heels in love with Sarah»
«Are you nuts? She’s married!»
Love at first sight
«Oh dear, another pair of shoes?»
«Sorry darling, I couldn’t resist. It was love at first sight.»
Puppy love
«Isn’t your daughter a bit young to have a boyfriend?»
«It’s just puppy love, it won’t last long.»
Love rat
«Susan’s husband has found out that she was in a relationship with another man for a year.»
«Goodness me! I would have never thought she was such a love rat!»
To cheat on someone
«I’m a very loyal person, I would never cheat on my partner.»
To dump somebody
«Ryan looks really down lately, what’s the matter with him?»
«Well, his girlfriend dumped him last week with no reason.»
Soulmate
There you go! … «Pepe is your soulmate»
«Is he still single? Well I’m not surprised, with that personality he’ll have a tough time finding a soulmate.»
A one-night stand
«What happened to that Swedish guy? He was lovely!»
«Oh I never saw him again. It was just a one-night stand.»
To have the hots for somebody
«Have you seen the way Margaret is looking at the new science teacher? She obviously has the hots for him.»
To be an item
No more than 20 items, thank you».
«I had not idea Mary and Chris were an item. They didn’t say a single word to each other at the restaurant last night.»
To pop the question
Disparar la pregunta … «Will you marry me?» 💍
«They’ve been together since high school, I really don’t know why he still hasn’t popped the question.»
Otra expresión muy común es: «To get down on one knee»
«So he took her on a cruise, got down on one knee and popped the question.»
Sure you know more expressions on this topic! Don’t be shy and share them in the comments!
See you again very soon!
