Ryan Giggs ha faltado hoy al entrenamiento del Manchester United, un día después de que se le identificara como el deportista que solicitó un mandato judicial para evitar la difusión de informaciones sobre una supuesta relación adúltera, con la estrella del programa de televisión Gran Hermano Imogen Thomas (en la imagen de abajo).
Este hecho y que su entrenador, Alex Ferguson, evitara hablar hoy sobre uno de sus capitanes («Todos los jugadores son importantes») demuestran que el Manchester United ha encontrado un elemento desestabilizador que puede favorecer al Barça, a cuatro días de la final de la Champions en Wembley.
Después de días de rumores, el nombre de Giggs fue mencionado el lunes por el diputado John Hemming, que hace campaña en favor de la libertad de expresión y en contra de los mandatos judiciales que impiden la difusión de informaciones sobre la vida privada de personas famosas que buscan proteger su intimidad. 
El diputado decidió utilizar su inmunidad parlamentaria para identificar al futbolista, minutos después de que el Tribunal Supremo decidiera rechazar el levantamiento de la prohibición a los medios para publicar lo que era desde hace días un secreto a voces, una solicitud que hizo el diario The Sun, después de que un periódico escocés nombrara a Giggs el fin de semana y de que su nombre circulara profusamente en internet.
