El seleccionador suizo Ottmar Hitzfeld considera que José Mourinho, tanto con sus planteamientos tácticos como con su comportamiento, está destrozando la imagen del Real Madrid y se ha convertido en una «vergüenza» para el club blanco.
Hitzfeld, en su columna semanal que publica hoy la revista «Kicker», parte de un breve comentario sobre el partido de ida entre el Barcelona y el Madrid en las semifinales de la Champions para luego emprender un ataque frontal contra Mourinho, extraño en un hombre que se ha caracterizado siempre por su reserva a la hora de criticar a sus colegas.
«Por suerte los métodos destructivos de Mourinho -dedicarse a provocar y a destruir las acciones ofensivas del rival- no tuvieron éxito. Un juego así no puede ser lo que quiere el Real Madrid, en realidad es una vergüenza para el club», dice Hitzfeld, ganador de dos Ligas de Campeones con el Borussia Dortmund y el Bayern.
«La identidad y la imagen de ese club legendario se ha visto deteriorada con ello. Con seguridad Mourinho sabía que sería criticado y por eso pasó después a la ofensiva», agrega el entrenador alemán. Hitzfeld rechaza los ataques de Mourinho al trío arbitral del partido de ida de la Liga de Campeones, encabezado por Wolfgang Stark.
«Acertaron en todas las decisiones difíciles». Además, según Hitzfeld, «fundamentar sus sospechas con la ayuda del Barcelona a UNICEF es algo impresentable, con ello ha traspasado un límite«. «He coincidido con Mourinho en congresos de la UEFA y lo he visto como se presenta ahora: arrogante, inalcanzable, mascando chicle, grosero», escribe Hitzfeld. «El Barcelona debe castigarlo en el campo», agrega.
