Ayer estuve en la Fundación Telefónica. Se presentaba en informe La Sociedad de la Información en España 2010, que elabora esa Fundación y que llega ya a su 11ª edición.
Lo presentaba Javier Nadal, pero antes hablaron César Alierta, Presidente de Telefónica y Miguel Sebastián, Ministro de Industria. Eso hizo que la sala donde se presentaba estuviera a rebosar, con muchas cámaras de televisión y periodistas y mucha gente de pie o sentada en el suelo.
En unos tiempos tan oscuros como los que vivimos hay pocos ámbitos en los que podamos asistir a una sucesión de buenas noticias como las que vivimos ayer.
La presentación del informe se resumió en los siguientes diez puntos claves:
1.- Innovación: El sector TIC apuesta por la innovación como medio para salir de la crisis. La inversión en innovación creció fuertemente en este sector pese al descenso de facturación debido a la crisis.
2.- Los segmentos de población más madura se contagian de las ventajas de la sociedad de la información. El mayor ritmo de crecimiento de una buena parte de los usos de las tecnologías se produce en los grupos de edad más elevada.
3.- Comienza la Internet de las cosas. En España ya hay más de dos millones de líneas móviles asociadas a máquinas; especialmente a contadores y mecanismos de control.
4.- La banda ancha es cada vez más ubicua. La tasa de penetración de banda ancha móvil supera ya a la de banda ancha fija en el Mundo.
5.- El vídeo domina el tráfico de internet. Igual que hemos visto en el mercado publicitario, el crecimiento del vídeo es exponencial en casi todos sus usos, lo que aumenta fuertemente el consumo de ancho de banda.
6.- Comienza el movimiento Open Data, que pone a disposición de la sociedad datos de interés común para que cualquiera pueda utilizarlos y añadir valor, incluso haciendo negocio.
7.- 3 de cada 4 empresas usan cloud por flexibilidad y ahorro de costes. El proceso hacia la virtualización se ha iniciado con fuerza y es imparable.
8.- Los dispositivos portátiles y portables revolucionan el mundo de las publicaciones. (No me quedó clara la diferencia entre portátiles y portables, así que no la puedo explicar aquí). La revolución que ya se produjo en la música, el vídeo o la fotografía, está a punto de llegar al mercado editorial. En Estados Unidos los eBooks ya suponene el 9% del mercado editorial.
9.- Los servicios de e-Administración de España se sitúan entre los mejores del Mundo. Probablemente es una de las pocas cosas en las que superamos de largo a Alemania y a la media de los países europeos.
10.- Europa y España han redefinido su estrategia digital en 2010. Se han definido 10 objetivos principales, referidos a ámbitos como las Administraciones Públicas, la Sanidad, la Eduacación, el bienestar social o la Ecología.

Pues no se que decir, pero todavía somos muchísimos miles de personas en este país que no tenemos acceso a internet, porque el estado no nos reconoce ese derecho, cómo lo hace con la electricidad o el teléfono. Sin que las líneas llegen a nuestras casas o con conexiones con más de 25 años de antiguedad. Mientras en países cómo Francia y Alemania, se ofrecen conexiones de calidad para usuarios remotos, aquí se nos ofrecen conexiones por radio similares a las que teníamos hace 40 años… en fín, mientras tengan contentos a los usuarios de las capitales….

y muchas cosas más. Vamos para atrás para beneficio de unos pocos fomentado por los gobiernos corruptos de Europa en detrimento del ciudadano aborregado que es incapaz de defender la inversión de su dinero con los impuestos que paga.
A estas alturas la ley, y por ende la justicia, esta de parte del grande y el ciudadano de a pie no tiene otra salida que el enfrentamiento cara a cara con el poder en las calles. Manifestaciones masivas que ‘atemoricen’ y presionen a ese poder cada vez mas corruptos y controlado por las grandes empresas.
Es lo único que nos queda, o lo ponemos en marcha o seremos cada vez mas esclavos de estos devoradores de derechos civiles y de calidad de vida.
PD: la tecnología actual y la que ya existe fuera de Europa deja el coste del Gb/segundo. por los suelos. La infraestructura no es un escusa para subir los precios, sino para bajarlos.
