«Cuando llegué al equipo en 2010 el coche ya estaba preparado, mientras que este año, gracias a mi relación recíproca con mis ingenieros, hemos sido capaces de introducir en el coche todo aquello que puede ser influenciado por el piloto»
Alonso explica, incluso, algunos detalles en los que ha orientado a los ingenieros de Maranello:
«Esa colaboración incluye la cabina, los controles y el comportamiento del coche según mi estilo de conducción. Seguro que se adaptará a mi forma de pilotar mucho mejor que el año pasado»
El asturiano también aplaudió el nombramiento de Pat Fry como jefe de estrategias de Ferrari. El ex ingeniero de McLaren sustituirá en el puesto a Chris Dyer, culpable del error estratégico de los Emiratos Árabes:
«Le conozco muy bien de cuando trabajamos juntos en McLaren y creo que puede aportar muchas cosas en Ferrari. Hemos hecho algunos cambios dentro del equipo que estoy seguro que ayudarán a mejorar las cosas»
