Parece que finalmente no habrá enfrentamiento entre Valentino Rossi y Fernando Alonso en la estación de esquí de Madonna di Campiglio, donde ambos campeones están concentrados con sus respectivos equipos, Ferrari y Ducati.
Ha sido el piloto italiano quien ha decidido aplazar el esperado duelo porque su lesión de hombro todavía no está curada. Valentino no quiere arriesgarse a sufrir una recaída y, por supuesto, tampoco quiere arriesgarse a perder el duelo contra Fernando por no estar al 100% físicamente:
«Lamentablemente el desafío tendrá que esperar porque la lesión todavía está en plena recuperación. Después de la operación se necesitan cinco o seis meses para estar al 100% y hay que tener paciencia. Todavía no logro levantar el brazo del todo y no puedo hacer todos los movimientos para meterme en el carenado de la moto en las rectas»
Rossi, que fue operado de su hombro derecho en noviembre, también ha explicado que se lleva de maravilla con Alonso:
«Conocí a Fernando personalmente el año pasado un día que fui a Ferrari, es una persona muy simpática y espero que podamos hacer este reto otro año. Sentí mucho que perdiera el mundial el año pasado en la última carrera»
PD. Es una lástima no poder ver el duelo Rossi-Alonso en la nieve. En principio iba a ser una prueba de esquí y pilotando coches sobre un circuito helado. ¿Por quién hubiérais apostado?
